Carleton Place is a town located in Lanark County. Close to Perth, Ottawa, Almonte, and Smith Falls. Since 1819 the original families in the area were the Morphy and the Moores. Carleton Place or known as CP- has the CP Info Centre at 170 Bridge Street which, is the original Moore Family House! The Mississippi River flows through the town, which you can access by boat or travel beside by car. The people that live in the area love nature. Carleton Place has boardwalks along the water, OVRT, self-guided walking paths and much more! Did you know? Carleton Place is the highest growing town – per capita in all of Canada! Downtown CP has older homes, more people that own vs rent, and use Facebook and YouTube more than any other platform.
