Vaughan - Thornhill (Younge Street)

Serving as a border between the City of Vaughan and the City of Markham, the Yonge Street corridor is located at the heart of Thornhill – a historic suburban community. What started out as a military road in 1793, this vibrant main street is now home to over 300 businesses. The business owners in this corridor are as diverse as the customers that it brings. Soon to be more accessible with the subway extension and through VIVA Rapid Transit, this thriving area is a must when you visit Vaughan.

Fun Fact. Did you know that Thornhill was named after Benjamin Thorne, who operated a gristmill, sawmill, and tannery? The place was known as Thorne Mills, and later became Thorne’s Hills.
